Baseboard Molding Profiles

The floor edge of these moldings can be finished with a piece of shoe molding, stop bead or panel molding. Standard One–Piece Baseboard Profiles
These one–piece baseboard profiles are used in many new homes and are easy to find at home stores and lumberyards. These molding profiles can also be used as backer boards for building custom moldings.
Molding sizes are available from a couple of inches to about 8 inches wide, so a suitable piece can be found for just about any application.
Custom Milled Baseboards
Baseboard profiles like these and the larger ones below are cut by a millworks using custom ground knives to create the curves and swirls.
These wood trim baseboards can be reproduced by any lumberyard setup to cut custom molding profiles, all that is needed is to supply them with a printout of these images.
Larger Custom Baseboards
Finish the bottom of these larger baseboards with an elaborate shoe mold or stack them with some of the other baseboards on this page to build more elaborate baseboard trim molding styles.
Also try using a one–piece case molding profile, chair rail profiles or various other moldings to build a unique baseboard molding.
